Study English in Bray, IrelandBray has much to offer visitors and has a combination of the naturally dramatic scenery coupled with man-made attractions. The town is a very popular base for walkers to stay, the promenade alone is over a mile in length and runs from the harbour to Bray Head which is at the southern end of the promenade. A beautiful colony of mute swans graces the water at the harbour.

When visitors reach Bray Head they will notice a very well worn pathway which leads to the summit, Bray Head is a hill and a headland within the Wicklow Mountain range. The highest peak is called Lugnaquilla and stands 925 metres tall. The thundering water of the River Dargle forms the Powerscourt Waterfall as it cascades down over a 398 foot drop making it the tallest waterfall throughout Ireland.

Standing at the summit of Bray Head is a concrete cross that was placed into position in the year 1950 during the holy year.

Bray holds a summer fest which is an established tourist event that takes place each year. The event lasts for six weeks during July and August. There is live music to be enjoyed and markets to browse, carnival rides and sporting entertainment.
