Studying English in Brisbane
Brisbane is located on the River Brisbane and the city gained its name from Sir Thomas Brisbane who was the governor of New South Wales from 1821 to 1825.
There are so many different sights to see and activities to take part in that visitors are never bored. Taking a bus tour of the city is a good place to start or for the more energetic there are numerous walking tours of the city too. A true Australian experience is the sheep shearing and it is worth watching one of the many displays that take part, visitors can also observe the wool being spun ready to make into clothing.
If you like cute and cuddly then you will certainly love the koala bears at the Koala Bushlands. This is a huge eucalyptus forest housing the cute koalas along with many native flowers and plants.
