The CIE establishment in the city of Oxford is called Bocardo House and it is situated right in the city's centre standing opposite the famous Oxford union.
The CIE Oxford believe strongly in teaching their students in small classes as they feel this helps students to remain focussed on their studies. Throughout the academic year the classes will have a maximum of only 4 - 8 students, this equates to approximately half the amount of a lot of the other schools.
The school also prides itself on its ability to work closely with its students and offers a family atmosphere rather than a typical 'school' atmosphere; they believe that all the staff from the receptionist to the teacher should know each and every individual student's name.
During the busy summer term the CIE Oxford Bocardo House establishment will also use the Lady Margaret Hall facility which is situated approximately a five minute stroll away from North Parade, an area full of restaurants and trendy art galleries. The Lady Margaret Hall has beautiful grounds that students can use.
Bocardo House is the main CIE Oxford building and consists of 6 classrooms accommodating from 2 - 8 students, a common room, a library, computers and a kitchen offering a microwave, tea and coffee making facilities and a refrigerator.
The medieval city of Oxford has plenty to offer its visitors and is an architect's playground with numerous historical buildings. There are several restaurants, theatres, cinemas, parks and lots of shops to satisfy even the biggest shoppers!
