A spectacular feature of Chicago is the setting and this is thanks to the tranquil waters of Lake Michigan which contains 33 sandy beaches along its route. The city of Chicago contains 552 parks in total with 7,300 acres of parkland. The biggest of these parks is Lincoln Park covering 1,200 acres and housing several facilities including 15 baseball areas, 2 softball courts, 163 volley ball courts and a golf course.
Another popular feature of Lincoln Park is the zoo which has free admission and is open for the whole year. The zoo has many displays and attractions for children and at the Southern end of the zoo is Lincoln Park Lagoon where visitors can hire paddle boats and canoes.
If you are looking for exciting nightlife then visit Rush Street as this is where you will discover the best of Chicago's entertainment and if it is shopping that you are after then make your way to the Magnificent Mile. This houses restaurants, stores, shops, hotels and many of the tallest buildings throughout the whole of the USA.
