The International House in Toronto opened its doors and welcomed its first and only student in the year 1996, the historic building that the school is located within was once known as Blake Mansion from the year 1872. In the year 2006 the school boasted 2,000 students attending.

The International House in Toronto has always adopted the same policy from its beginning with just 1 student to the present day with more than 2,000 students and that is to provide small and friendly groups. The maximum number of students per class is 12 and there are approximately 130 International House establishments worldwide.

The school is a medium sized building and offers flexible study programs. International House have another school located within Canada in the city of Calgary and students of either complex are permitted to change between the 2 schools if they wish, they will not miss any of their studies during the change.

The school offers a general English programme which can be taken on either an intensive regime, 4 classes per day, or on a semi-intensive regime, 3 classes per day. The classes last for a 75 minute duration.

Toronto is Canada's largest city and houses some of the finest landmarks including the cascading waterfalls of Niagara Falls and just outside of the city is Canada's biggest theme park Canada's Wonderland. The park plays host to over 65 rides and 200 attractions.
