The country has the largest wine production throughout the world. The climate is perfect for grapes to flourish and this is why the country produces so much wine because in the first instance it can produce such lovely grapes.

One rare sight that you might happen across is the shy and elusive lynx. They are found in the Vosges and Pyrenees regions of the country. They are now very much a protected animal as at one time they were all but exterminated as a species, you are exceptionally fortunate if you see one.
