Studying French in Nice
Nice has a lovely celebrated promenade running along the seafront. It was constructed in the late 18th century by some beggars whom were driven to Nice by bad winter weather further North. During this time Nice was frequented by affluent Englishmen they proposed the project of building the promenade to the beggars who accepted.
It is called Promenade des Anglais which translates to mean 'Walk of the English' and it is very popular with visitors and residents alike.
The nightlife in Nice mainly consists of luxury hotel bars however this said there are pubs and a 'younger' style night scene in Vieux. The city of Nice has many fine restaurants to choose from. If you journey out past the airport you will discover the Phoenix Parc Floral de Nice, this is a botanical garden with birds and insects and some automated dinosaur displays.
