The GLS Berlin language school is made up of five houses which all reflect German history and architecture.  One of the oldest houses on the school campus dates back to 1867.  The buildings have been remodeled and modernized.  The school offers an on campus bookstore, cafeteria, common dining areas, and a garden for mingling and eating.  Nearby museums, historical landmarks, aquariums and tourist attractions are located nearby.

The GLS Berlin School is situated in a prime location being just a 15 minute walk away from Alexanderplatz which is a public square and also a transport hub.

The campus of the GLS Berlin consists of 5 houses altogether whose architecture mirrors German history. The oldest of the houses dates back to 1867 and all 5 buildings have always been used as schools. There are 50 studio-apartments on the campus which take up 2 of the buildings.

The school accepts students aged 18 to 80 and offers a selection of German courses to match students understanding of the language. There is a bookstore on campus selling German and international literature, a restaurant and a cafeteria with a garden. The choice of German classes on offer is vast at GLS Berlin; there are separate courses for lawyers, journalists and teachers.

They teach on a 7 level system starting from beginners upwards, students take a placement test on their initial day to ascertain their level and then they are placed within an appropriate group or class. When students finish their German course they are issued with a certificate stating the level of German learnt.

Berlin has much to see including Aquadom an aquarium and many historical monuments and museums covering the troubled history of the city.
