The main building that dominates Regensburg's skyline is the cathedral. It is a perfect example of German Gothic and is one of the main pieces of Gothic architecture throughout Bavaria. It was founded in the year 1275 and completed in the year 1634 although the towers were not completed until the year 1869. The cathedral is certainly an imposing and impressive building, the detail is fascinating.
