Studying Italian in Pisa
The most famous attraction in the city of Pisa is undoubtedly the leaning tower. It is the most unusual bell tower throughout Europe, the construction began in the year 1173 and initially the building was intended to be completely vertical it only tilted due to the softness of the soil. There are 6 glorious levels to the tower and it stands 54 metres tall on its South side and 52 metres on its North side. The tower has approximately 300 steps inside it going all the way to the very top.
Visitor's numbers are fairly strictly controlled due to safety so you would be well advised to pre-book your trip.
Borgo Street is the main street in the city of Pisa and boasts numerous stores and curious little gift shops. There are restaurants and cafes and Borgo Street is also the location for the city's vibrant nightlife scene, cocktails can be sipped at the various wine bars or the night can be danced away in the clubs.
Pisa is known for its friendly locals whom are especially welcoming to visitors, it is a lovely location to study Italian in.
